Brake light Switch Sensor is a non-contact switching device that connects directly to the factory wire harness to activate the brake lights. The Panteras factory hydraulic switch fails slowly requiring higher levels of hydraulic force. The brake lights should activate in advance of developing any brake pressure. This non-contact brake switch uses a semiconductor magnetic sensor to detect the travel of the brake pedal and a semiconductor switch activates the brake lights. The brake lights can be incandescent or LED or combination of both. Since there are no springs or contacts as typical brake switches the repeatability is superior.A unique feature retains the brake lights active for 2 seconds after the brake pedal is released. The 2 second time allows the foot to move from the brake to accelerator while the car is not in motion.
